Earlier this month one of our 8th graders was recognized along with nine other students as a winner of the 2022 Serra Essay contest for the Diocese of San Diego. Her essay titled "Light Upon Light: Reflections" spoke to the words of Jesus from His Sermon on the Mount addressing the role of the Catholic Church to serve as the light to the world. Students and their families were invited to the Pastoral Center to share their essays at an awards event ands presented with a special signed Bible signed by Bishop McElroy.
