Nativity was one of five schools in the Diocese of San Diego to hold classes on Veterans Day. Students and staff were given the opportunity to invite a veteran (active or retired military) to spend the morning with us. The day began with a Mass, followed by an assembly honoring and celebrating our guests. The assembly consisted of prayer, patriotic songs and a lesson on the significance of this day. We ended with breakfast and classroom visits. The events of the day affirmed to everyone how important it is for students to be reminded of the ultimate sacrifice made by the men and women who choose to serve and align perfectly with our virtue of the month: gratitude. The Nativity School thanks all of you who choose to protect the freedoms we hold dear as Americans by serving our nation.
