Faculty Directory

The Nativity School experience is characterized by personal attention. Small classes and a highly talented and dedicated faculty provide Nativity students with a student centered approach to teaching, providing a strong, specialized curriculum.
A multi-intelligence approach to learning provides the foundation for teaching and learning at Nativity. Our faculty use varied teaching strategies that recognize the many different learning styles and create a classroom environment that takes into consideration the unique ways in which students learn. Teachers encourage critical thinking to allow students to demonstrate expression of thought and knowledge through many different ways.
More than three-quarters of the faculty hold a graduate degree in education or their area of expertise in addition to their teaching credentials. The Nativity School teachers also consistently participate in continuous professional development. While grounded in years of experience, the faculty is up to date with teaching strategies and pedagogy that promote optimum student success.

Mrs. Williamson believes teaching is a priceless gift. God has given teachers special abilities to explain academic concepts, to shape students’ characters, to lead them, and to encourage them to develop certain talents. She believes the best teachers are those whose hearts are truly in their work.

She believes those who give their hearts to teaching find their hearts filled in return. The satisfaction that comes is a deep sense of worthwhile labor, of realizing just how many lives their teaching has touched. Teachers sow seeds in the fields of young minds, and their impact on students cannot be measured. Teachers shape the thoughts and character of future generations.

She believes having a sense of purpose in the teaching profession I can make an incredible difference in the classroom. When students know that their teacher cares about them and wants to teach them, she feels they are more apt to listen and learn. Students can sense the heart of the teacher.

Teaching involves so much more than giving students formulas to learn and facts to memorize. She believes, seeing the potential in students and encouraging their development, she has the opportunity to change their lives forever.
