“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.”
– Benjamin Franklin
Our low student to teacher ratio and personal environment provides an excellent environment for both struggling students and advanced learners. Beginning in 5th grade, students are divided into smaller math groups that are grouped based on learning style to provide seminar like instruction in math. In language arts, a dedicated support teacher assists the classroom teachers in grades 3-5 with literature and writing while a advanced language arts class is offered in middle school. For students who require additional support, the school partners with outside providers through our Student Success Team (SST) process.
The SST includes the parents and all teachers who teach the student. Together they plan for educational strategies that may go beyond the regular classroom learning. Outside educational assessment may be needed to pinpoint specific difficulties. Outside intervention specialists may be needed to support specific learning difficulties offered within the regular school day or outside of school.
Students are recommended to the program by their teacher, or a parent may request a meeting. Collaboration with the teacher, parent and principal will determine the most appropriate course of action including frequent follow up.
